In this cooking class we will teach you the tricks to prepare a perfect risotto. In Ticino we like it “al dente & all’onda”, which means that the consistency has to reach the exact level of softness that your teeth will love and the right level of creaminess to form a “wave” when you finalize it’s cooking.
This class won’t just be a risotto cooking class, but also a moment of sustainability. We won’t waste a single ingredient, as in the second part of the class we will cook 2 more delicious meals that are generated out of the “wastes” of risotto. Curious? Join the class!

What do we do?
This course consists of a show cooking part, during which the teacher shows all the tricks to prepare a perfect risotto, and a practical part during which participants will be also preparing some great dishes with the leftovers of risotto. Of course we’ll be eating what we prepare …and drink some good wine along with the food 🙂
During the whole class, Andrea explains the steps in detail, reveals tricks, gives advice and justifies the choice of ingredients often giving alternatives.
Every dish will be paired with a wine from the Matasci winery (from Tenero, Ticino). This historic, family-run company is best known for its wine called “Selezione d’Ottobre” but also for its 3 lines of wines “Classica”, “Terroir” and “Enoteca” which represent Merlot in its various expressive potential. In Tenero’s well-stocked wine shop you can taste all their products every day.

The cooking class will be held in the awesome kitchen within the Migros Klubschule in Zurich Altstetten, in Vulkanplatz 8, 8048 Zürich, closeby to the Altstetten Railway Station and with parking possibility.

Enrollment takes place automatically at the end of the payment process (via online checkout). The actual confirmation of the cooking class and any additional information will be sent by email to the participants within 2 weeks of the event. Places are limited (please keep an eye to the number of places left in the inventory of the item).
Cancellations will only be refunded (using the payment method used to purchase the cooking class) if received within 14 days from the cooking class date via the contact page (indicating “disdetta corso” as the reason).
